Description

The Crab Nebula is one of my favorite targets in the sky for its niche appearance as well as being the first Messier object! In two separate sessions (November 2022 and January 2023), I've been collecting high resolution subs of this target. This is one of my first targets I've captured with my "new" mount, a used EQ8, which was a worthwhile upgrade for my RC. This is also the first time I've used Blur and Noise XTerminator, and I am definitely going to include it as part of my processing workflow! For now, I have an LRGB image, but intend to share more revisions (HSO, SHO, NBRGB) once I've collected narrowband subs of the nebula. Clear skies everyone.

UPDATE: I have posted a new revision, which uses all 7 of my filters to create my final composition for this target. Narrowband only combinations looked like a cornucopia of colors, which was off-putting.
